You all might be wondering what in the world is neem oil and where does it come from! Neem oil is actually a vegetable oil that is pressed from the fruit and seeds of the neem which is an evergreen tree. The coloring can vary in neem oil, it can be golden yellow, reddish brown, greenish brown, bright red, or yellowish brown. The odor of this oil can be quite strong, some saying it has a smell of peanuts and garlic. Even though neem oil is a vegetable oil, it is not an oil made for cooking. Because this oil is native in India, it is used there to prepare cosmetics; such as soap, head creams, etc. It's also said to be used for skin diseases, inflammations and even as insect repellent. There are traditional uses for neem oil as well, such as: acne, fever, leprosy, malaria, among others. As for traditional medicine, they have used this oil for treatment of eczema and tetanus.

I want to personally say that I was not able to use this product since the smell was too strong for me to handle but if strong smells are not an issue for you or you enjoy earthy like scents then you should be fine! :) I will still try to play around with this oil and see if I can mix it well with others to tone done the smell. Neem oil can be mixed with oils like coconut, jojoba, or olive oil.
