Adult coloring books are all the craze at the moment. Before coloring books used to be for children. Researchers agree that art can have therapeutic qualities Art therapy is known to help people with PTSD, cancer, anxiety, depression, among others.
How does coloring work for stress? It pretty much distracts us from the current thoughts that may be going on in your mind, to thoughts that are more pleasant. It isn't just coloring though, more goes into it than some may realize. You study the image you are about to color, the shapes and/or designs that it may have, and then of course you're thinking about what colors you will be using and whether you want to make ti abstract looking or not. They say its meant to occupy the same parts of the brain that would generally stop any related imagery that can come from anxiety and stress.
Now for my opinion of this product. I really did not feel like this was a coloring book for adults. Now while the facts on each page can be interesting, it seems as if this would be better for children to use and learn from. Also the printing of this book is not very good. The images are not whole images, which in my opinion takes away from being to color the whole picture. The text on the back of the book are printed backwards, not sure if this is a printing error or a publishing error. One thing to keep in mind is that these book is a print on demand book at Amazon, so I am not sure if some of it may be a printing error or not.
Overall I don't think this is the greatest adult coloring books out there. I have seen quite a few that seemed to have caught my eye. Also I do want to mention that the business reached out to me to make certain reviews unhelpful, which of course I have not done since I'm sure it goes against policy.
If you are interested in purchasing this coloring book, you can find it on Amazon
