Getting the right temperature when cooking/grilling meat is very important. You want to make sure that they're always cooked otherwise you risk getting sick or poisoning. You don't need to be a professional cook to own one. I think a thermometer that connects to your phone to provide you a digital reading is really cool. There is an app that you download for your phone (either iOS or Android). In this app it can calculate how much time is left to cook the meat and it displays it for you in real time. There are 16 presets for meat and 2 food. The temperature displays between 4F and 392F. So what do you actually get when you purchase this. I received the thermometer and meat claw forks(which is a bonus item). The thermometer probe and cord measure at 59 inches. The app is easy to download there is a label that has a QR code for you to scan and it will take you to the app page. The following are other features on the app: save cooking notes, share pictures, notes, and cooking charts with friends through social media, and you can record your voice as the alert.
